Methodology

To determine the most popular Esports players overall, BonusFinder CA used resources such as Liquipedia and Esports Charts to gather a list of 171 popular Esports players. We then analyzed how many followers each of the players had in Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram and Weibo. As many players did not have a presence in all of the social media channels, the categories were broken down as follows: Twitch/YouTube (highest number of followers), Twitter, and TikTok/Instagram (highest number of followers).

For players who did not have one or more of these channels, their followers on Weibo were also taken into account.

When calculating the total followers of each team, we gathered a list of 51 popular teams and compared how many Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram and Weibo followers each of them had.
